Dear readers,
It’s been an unseasonably warm winter here in New York City. We haven’t seen much snow this winter, so (as always) we’ve been reflecting heavily on climate change.
In this, our fourth issue, poet Cody-Rose Clevidence writes, “[[for th days of night are also days of reckoning.” We reckon with the function of art as Australia burns, the apparent futility of language as global mean temperatures reveal 2019 to have been the second hottest year on record. The days of night are upon us; we ask you to sit and reckon with us.
This issue is one of our finest and most urgent yet. We are amazed and thankful, always, to have the opportunity to send such incredible work into the world, to find readers who will hold space for this process of reckoning. Please give it a read here (http://www.bomb-cyclone.com/issue-four/) and drop us a line at bombcycloneliterary at gmail dot com with your thoughts.
Stay tuned for more news from Bomb Cyclone, including upcoming literary events, special calls for submissions, and more!
With love and solidarity,
B.C.
